It is very heartening to see a growing interest among young scholars towards Pali-Prakrit studies. Even though there is no formal study programme on these subjects in our University, we have come to this effort with a spirit to take forward the felt need for active academic and cultural interventions in these areas, especially the context of South India is concerned. Despite the limitations, we are trying to accommodate a maximum number of resource persons and learners from within our capacity. It is with this sense of academic responsibility that we plead to all interested persons to spend their valuable time and resources to participate in the workshop.
